Nida Azwer - New Delhi PFDC Launch

[New Delhi, 20 September, 2012]  Acclaimed Fashion designer Nida Azwer showcased her collection at the launch of the PFDC flagship outlet in New Delhi, introducing a selection of her most popular bridal and formal wear collections to the Indian clientele. Indeed her collection for retail comprises of her signature izars, coats, angharkas, kurtas with miniature embroidery based in hues of red, green and saffron. The designer’s love of more classic and vintage design elements infused with traditional Pakistani craft such as ‘tukri ka kaam’, ‘rilli’, ‘kantha’, ‘zardozi’ were seen in her pieces.

At the PFDC New Delhi fashion show held as part of the launch celebration, coveted model and actress Sonya Jehan walked the ramp for the Nida Azwer brand as her showstopper. 

Nida Azwer has been designing and working in fashion under the aegis of her eponymous label since 2005. Her atelier includes a Prêt a Porter line, Haute Couture and Bridal lines. Nida herself was nominated for the coveted Lux Style Award for Best Emerging Talent in 2008 and won the best designer award at the Nesvita Women of Strength Awards in 2009. In September, she also launched her label at Ensemble Dubai.
